William B. Feldman, MD, DPhil, MPH

Dr. Feldman completed his undergraduate degree in philosophy at Duke University, his doctoral degree in politics from the University of Oxford, his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco, and his master’s in public health from the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health. He was a Fulbright scholar at the University of Haifa and a Zuckerman Fellow at the Center for Public Leadership at the Harvard Kennedy School. He completed residency in internal medicine and fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, where stayed on faculty prior to joining UCLA.

Dr. Feldman is currently a practicing physician and an Associate Professor of Medicine at UCLA. His research focuses Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulation, pharmaceutical pricing, intellectual property, and real-world evidence. His work has appeared in JAMA, the New England Journal of Medicine, BMJ, Health Affairs, and other top medical and health policy journals. He has testified before Congress, and his work has been widely cited by other academics, journalists, legislators, courts, and regulators.
